In San Damiano, a small town in northern Italy, the Blessed Virgin appeared to Mamma Rosa (Rosa Quattrini) for the first time on 16 October 1964 to call the world to prayer and penance, and to deliver a series of messages.
Since that day, visitors from all over the world have continued to flock to San Damiano to pray in the presence of Our Miraculous Lady of the Roses, who has promised to keep coming to this place « alive and real », until the end of the world.
In this small garden of Paradise, pilgrims experience a deep sense of peace, and receive grace and consolation.
“I HAVE COME DOWN AMONG YOU TO SAVE YOU, MY LITTLE ONES TO SAVE YOU, BECAUSE A MOTHER DOES EVERYTHING FOR HER CHILDREN. I AM THE QUEEN OF THE HEAVENS AND THE MOTHER OF THE UNIVERSE: I HAVE COME AMONG YOU TO WEEP WITH YOU, TO LOVE YOU SO VERY MUCH, TO CONSOLE YOU, TO ASSIST YOU IN EVERYTHING AND WITH EVERYTHING. LISTEN TO ME, CHILDREN, ACCEPT MY INVITATION! IF YOU ACCEPT MY INVITATION, YOU WILL BE SAVED.”

La Signora vestita di azzurro mi ha dato la risposta che attendevo
È stato nel 1973 che ho sentito parlare per la prima volta di San Damiano. E accaduto mentre ero in cura alla Bourboule. La signora che me ne parlò mi parve molto entusiasta ed alla fine mi disse: «Ci vada.» Per me c’era solo Lourdes che contava. Ma la signora insistette dicendomi ancora: «Ci vada e vedrà…» Personalmente pensavo che non ci fossero
Abbiamo giocato con la Santa Vergine
Vi racconto quello che ho vissuto a San Damiano con mio fratello B. durante un pellegrinaggio in famiglia fatto il 15 agosto 1982. Allora avevo 10 annie B. ne aveva 9.
